Food Service Sanitation Supervisor

Maintain stock of chemical supplies for sanitation purposes, including dishwasher chemical cleaning solutions and any other products needed for sanitizing, cleaning and polishing stainless steel (i.e. dishwasher) purposes.  When supplies are needed to notify the storeroom individual so needed items can be ordered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Responsible for care and maintenance of sanitation equipment.
  • Inform Executive Chef of any required equipment repairs needed.
  • Interviews, hires and trains newly hired sanitation Food Service Worker staff.
  • Assists in stocking and rotating of food and supplies. Restocking the upstairs storeroom with needed supplies.
  • Completes daily check list of completed cleaning assignments and making sure all equipment is turned off and office doors are locked. Check list is to be placed in DDS mail box.
  • Reports any safety hazards to supervisor.
  • Completes in timely fashion all performance evaluations of sanitation staff.
  • Responsible for sanitary cleanliness of all equipment and floors in the kitchen.
  • Assure all staff follows safety regulations.
  • Covers schedule of any staff calling in sick or missing work and notifies Executive Chef of arrangements to cover the schedule
  • Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner. Wears safety equipment as required for the job. Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.
  • Follows highest standards of cleanliness. Follows all federal, state and corporate policies, health codes and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
  • Attends all mandatory in-service meetings. Complies with all department and facilities policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
