A message from Jeff Sianko, divisional vice president
As always, we are thankful for your commitment to the safety and security of our residents. All of us deeply appreciate your courageous response to the challenges created by COVID-19. We are also proud of the steps taken to insure a safe environment for employees through the adherence to guidelines for washing hands, wearing protective face masks, social distancing, and screening all employees and essential workers that enter our communities.
Since most public health experts predict only a gradual easing of the pandemic, our next challenge is to create opportunities to allow social interactions and experiences for all residents of our communities within the limitations of the changing protocols. Isolation from the lengthy “lockdown” has created both physical and mental health concerns that need to be addressed as soon as possible.
Our plans to reopen the communities will focus on safety and security. Each community’s reopening plan will be reviewed with the Department of Social Services and implemented only when staff and residents are ready to restore visitation, group activities, social hours, and limited group dining services.
We need your help, support, and understanding to be successful. Let’s work towards the future and focus on the plan ahead, and above all, stay safe. Thank you!
