Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and the DSD, creates staffing schedules to meet the state requirements and the customer service needs of the residents of the Care Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Develops a schedule on a monthly basis for registered nurses, licensed vocation nurses, certified nursing assistants, restorative nursing assistants and patient care coordinators.
  • Manages requests for vacations and paid time off (PTO) and communicates with and to director of nursing designee.
  • Determines and communicates open position for hire.
  • Prepares daily staffing to be posted per regulation.
  • Manages cancellation and call-offs on a day to day basis.
  • Calculate daily nursing hours per patient day to assure compliance per regulations.
  • Communicates with new employees to schedule for orientation and staffing schedule.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Current C NA and CPR licensure on file. Experience in long-term care community health, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nursing desirable. Knowledgeable in current State and Federal regulation.
