Whether you’d like to live at a Front Porch community, work or volunteer in one, or partner with us, you’ll find answers to common questions here. You can also request more info, or contact us about resident lifestyle options, choices, and partnership opportunities.

Independent Living

You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to here. While you may find you enjoy the great company, you’re free to live your life how you see fit—from flexible dining hours and enjoying visits from friends and family, to bringing your own car if you care to. We’re here to help facilitate what you want to do.

You can! There are a number of people happily employed who live in Front Porch communities. And there are those who put their energy into volunteering—both at home and in the greater community.

If slowing down isn’t part of your plan, that’s just fine. Here, you’ll find a full calendar of events, activities, outings, and more. Add to that the exercise classes, lifelong learning opportunities, and resident-led clubs to take part in, and the real challenge is deciding how to fit it all in.

Assisted Living

Yes! We hear this quite often and we can point you in the right direction. We have relationships with senior-moving specialists who can help streamline and simplify planning, packing, and everything else.

Yes! Many of our communities have dog parks and some have “Yappy Hours.” Of course, we have commonsense rules and guidelines for all pets about good behavior, but in general, furry friends are welcome.

Yes, Front Porch communities offer assisted living. Through our Truly Yours assisted living you will get the care and service you need in the privacy of your own home here. That includes medication management, help with activities of daily living, dining tray service, diabetic management, and more. You will also find transportation, an emergency call system, and additional services available, all tailored to your needs.

Care Centers

Because all of the Front Porch care centers are associated with our retirement communities, those who receive services at the care center can avail themselves of the offerings in the community neighborhoods. That includes dining, strolls on the beautiful grounds, and a wide variety of activities.

At our care centers, we provide Medicare-certified skilled nursing and rehabilitative therapy. Our staff has decades of experience in senior care.

In addition to skilled nursing, post-surgery rehabilitation, hospice care, and other specialized services, we provide one-on-one physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Memory Care

We have a variety of social activities and memory care programs scheduled throughout the day, tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Activities are geared toward providing physical and mental stimulation, joy, and comfort. Depending on the day, this might include music, art, crafts, painting, cooking, excursions, pet therapy, life skills, cognitive activities, or gardening.

At each Summer House memory care neighborhood, accommodations vary. Please check with each individual community. The dining areas and living room spaces are available for residents and their families to enjoy together.

Affordable Housing

Through our affordable housing division, CARING Housing Ministries, we serve about 2,300 residents in more than 25 affordable housing communities in California and Arizona. This includes seniors, families with children, and individuals with physical and mental challenges.

Yes, the program requires that a resident be re-certified each year.

The specific community you want to apply for will provide you a Resident Selection Plan with all requirements that include documents needed and age and income requirements.
