Person-to-person care.
In order to best support every resident at Summer House, we get to know them — who they are, what they like and what’s important to them. Care starts
with compassion.
At Summer House, we offer personalized care based on dignity and respect. We nurture close bonds between our staff and residents. And it all works together to help decrease agitation, pain and behavioral challenges. It’s whole-person care with the goal of improving quality of life for people living with memory loss and providing peace of mind for family members who love them.
Self-expression and purpose.
Summer House residents can enjoy extensive social opportunities and activities for meaningful life enrichment. From creative endeavors like painting, crafts and music, to performances, movies and events—at Walnut Village and around the neighborhood when possible—the emphasis is always on engagement. Our everyday family-style dining and holiday gatherings help residents, friends, family and staff feel deeper connections with each other. Finally, fitness and wellness programs, personal trainers and an 85-degree purified saltwater pool (with supervision) offer recreation and relaxation.
Pioneering Memory Care with iN2L
Technology for Enhanced Resident Engagement
Walnut Village was the first Front Porch memory care neighborhood to incorporate It’s Never Too Late (iN2L) technology with a large-screen program of activities, games, puzzles, music, virtual reality, entertainment and other offerings that deliver entertainment and intellectual stimulation for residents.
Throughout Summer House memory care, technology is a tool—a rich and modern complement to our own brand of compassionate care that never goes out of style.
Engaging.
Innovative.
Impactful.
We are always looking for new ways to support Summer House residents. And as we assess and integrate innovative technology into our senior care programs, we continually see how these novel approaches to care can impact quality of life.
Every day we see the positive impact of innovations for residents living with cognitive impairment. Activities, interactive robotic pets, music programs and more provide social, intellectual, physical and spiritual enrichment in both group and independent settings.
