Two women smile and hold hands Home matching

This program connects community members seeking housing with older adults who have extra space in their homes. Each match is personalized with the process overseen by program staff—at no cost to participants. Home Match benefits everyone. It decreases isolation, provides housing security, and above all, builds community.

If you have a room to spare in your home, consider opening your doors to provide an affordable option for someone facing today’s challenging housing market. Home Match is also an opportunity for you to earn additional income and gain more security, and the extra perk is the social connection you’ll both make.

Home Match can help you find an affordable home in a supportive community—but the added
benefit is it enables older adults to age in place, in the home they love. Creating connection has a lot of upside!

Home Match reshapes today’s housing dynamics. By connecting people with a spare room or Accessible Dwelling Unit (ADU) to those looking for a space to live, we help both parties find the ideal fit. Shared spaces evolve into lively communities and the cost of living is more reasonable for all involved. This is the way to stay.

Home-sharing isn’t a one-size-fits-all proposition, and our support staff goes to great lengths to make the perfect match every time. We think we’ve got it down to a science, but don’t take our word for it—here are some special people whose stories will inspire you.
