LPGA Hall of Famer Amy Alcott Named First-Ever Front Porch Ambassador

Front Porch Communities & Services has named LPGA Hall of Famer Amy Alcott as its first-ever official Front Porch Ambassador, launching a new partnership centered on redefining what it means to grow older.
Alcott will serve as a national advocate for Front Porch’s vision to empower individuals to live connected and fulfilled lives through community and innovation.
“At Front Porch, we believe that aging shouldn’t restrict you from pursuing your passions,” said Sean Kelly, CEO of Front Porch. “Amy represents that vision authentically. She brings vibrant energy and a deep sense of purpose to everything she does, and we are honored to welcome her as the first-ever Front Porch Ambassador.”
The Front Porch Ambassador program was inspired by Alcott and Front Porch’s shared commitment to challenge outdated perceptions of aging and advancing a more purposeful vision for later life. At 70 years old, Alcott continues to embrace new opportunities with no plans of slowing down.
“I’m proud to serve as the first Front Porch Ambassador. This title reflects something I believe deeply – that purpose, connection and growth does not end at a certain age,” said Alcott. “In my book, no one should ever retire. Your life just morphs into other avenues to embrace with passion. Front Porch is creating communities where people can continue their passions, and that’s something I truly respect.”
Alcott’s first event as a Front Porch Ambassador will be June 8 at the organization’s annual golf tournament where she will join Front Porch leadership to present tournament awards alongside Kelly. Prior to that, she will be onsite at this week’s U.S. Women’s Open Championship (June 4-7, 2026) at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California, Alcott’s home course. Alcott is a 1980 U.S. Women’s Open champion.
About Amy Alcott
Amy Alcott is a champion golfer and member of the LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame. During her 27-year career, she was most recognized as the LPGA’s finest and most creative shot-maker, and her go-for-the-pin style of play was the bedrock for her 32 professional tournaments captured worldwide, including five major championships.
Amy started playing golf at age seven in her Santa Monica, California front yard, putting into soup cans and sprinkler heads. She was taught the game indoors, hitting balls into a driving net, by her mentor and teaching pro, Walter Keller, and has evolved into a world-class champion and a tireless promoter of the game.
Amy partnered with world-renowned architect Gil Hanse on the legacy plans and design of the golf course for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She also consulted with Hanse on the new master plan for the Ridgewood Country Club in Moultonborough, New Jersey. Two other co-design projects also carry her name: one in Palm Springs, California — Indian Canyons Resort; and the second in Ocean Isle, North Carolina – Brick Landing Plantation. She is also the designer of the reimagined Desert Island Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California.
