Front Porch in the Media: media highlights and news roundup from June-July 2026

Front Porch and its communities and programs were featured in a wide range of media, including news articles, podcasts and television. Here are some of the highlights.

Numerous sources shared the story of Tom McKievick who celebrated 50 years working at Fredericka Manor. Local stations KUSI and KPBS both shared features about his tenure at the Chula Vista community. The story was also covered on the San Diego News Now podcast, the Star News and the Good News Network.

Laurie Baron, a resident at Wesley Palms, wrote a story about the Bar Mitzvah of 83-year-old Sanford (Sandy) Braver and William (Bill) Soltz for San Diego Jewish World.

Carlsbad By The Sea resident Jack Cumming discussed the importance of culture and the work that Anna Hall, chief culture and community officer, is doing to transform culture throughout Front Porch in his article Senior Living is a People Business for Senior Living Foresight.

Hall also appeared on the Bridge the Gap podcast, talking about Changing the Narrative on Aging and why Front Porch launched The Front Porch Podcast.

Sean Kelly, CEO, appeared on the McKnight’s Newsmakers podcast, talking about filling the gap between senior living perception and reality.

Kelly was also recognized as one of the Valley 200 leaders by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

McKnight’s Senior Living announced Front Porch’s partnership with Amy Alcott as our new Ambassador. Amy was also the guest for The Front Porch Podcast episode The Art of Golf and Life that premiered in July. And McKnight’s shared the news of the arrival of Kathleen McCarron as the new executive director of St. Paul’s Towers; Darren Wilde as Front Porch’s corporate controller; and Anthony Archer as vice president of compliance and ethics.

Davis Park, vice president of transformation at the Front Porch Center for Innovation and Wellbeing, joined the Stanford Center for Longevity to talk about Helping Hands and Hard Drives on the Century Lives podcast, recorded at the Consumer Electronics Show.
