In October, The Los Angeles Business Journal profiled Front Porch and interviewed CEO Sean Kelly in the October article Front Porch with a View. Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities
In November, Newsweek included six Front Porch communities among America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities. “For the second consecutive year, Newsweek and global data research firm Statista have partnered to rank America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities in 2025.” These rankings represent a comprehensive evaluation of CCRCs across the United States, highlighting communities that demonstrate benchmark-leading care and exceptional services for older adults. The list included Kingsley Manor, Villa Gardens, Sunny View, Carlsbad By The Sea, San Francisco Towers and Claremont Manor.
Wellness Awards
The International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) and NuStep named Lisa Dickenson, director of wellness at Carlsbad By The Sea, one of the top Wellness Directors at the 2025 ICAA Conference and Expo in Anaheim. “Now in its seventh year, the awards recognize senior living communities and leaders who embrace wellness not just as an amenity, but as a core value that shapes culture, sparks innovation, and enhances quality of life.”
Senior Housing News podcast
Senior Housing News interviewed Front Porch CEO Sean Kelly for its Transform podcast, where he talks about the transformation of Front Porch after its merger with Covia and the implementation of its strategic plan. “We are looking to make best practice common practice across the board and we are relying on our colleagues not just from the front office but throughout the organization to help make this happen. We are relying on our residents to do the same.”
Home Match, Dining Room Robots and a modern kitchen trailer
The Alameda Post shared that Home Match has a creative housing solution that can support residents in Alameda County through its home sharing program.
The Santa Barbara Independent explored the robot servers being used in the dining room at Vista del Monte in Are These the Droids We’re Looking For? “’It just really helps elevate the hospitality, and reduces the amount of time someone might be waiting for an order to be taken,’ said Wendy Cafferky, Vista Del Monte’s head of sales and marketing, explaining how it frees up the servers.”
Along with the video of the kitchen trailer currently being used to support the culinary and dining program at Casa de Mañana, ContekPro has shared a case study on their modular kitchen that “explore[s] how a modular mobile kitchen enabled live renovation, staff training on final-spec equipment, and long-term portfolio value — without compromising resident experience.”

Front Porch shared a press release to announce it has acquired ARCH to serve as its in-house development company, overseeing projects at Front Porch and beyond. Senior Housing News also shared the announcement about ARCH joining Front Porch in its Senior Living Dealbook and In the Pipeline feature (behind paywall).

Front Porch also launched its podcast in November, announcing Senior living residents, staff share stories of community and purpose on new podcast. The first podcast episodes featured residents from Villa Gardens, Fredericka Manor and St. Paul’s Towers as well as Front Porch’s vice president of project management. Podcast guests have shared stories about leadership, love, grief, culture, building community and more in conversation with Anna Hall, chief culture and community officer.
